North Korean entrepreneur and defector Lee Soon Sil shared her fear of electrotherapy, a physical therapy method that uses electrical stimulation.

A regular contestant on the variety show ' Boss in the Mirror ,' Lee Soon Sil went to the hospital for treatment following a traffic accident in August this year. When the doctor recommended electrotherapy, she refused out of fear, recalling the torture she suffered when she was captured after trying to flee North Korea for South Korea.

She recounted being stripped naked, beaten with sickles, and subjected to electrocution torture, which led to her current trauma toward electrotherapy, sparking shock and empathy among other participants in the show.

After several unsuccessful attempts to escape North Korea, Lee Soon Sil finally managed to settle in South Korea in 2007, where she now runs a catering business specializing in North Korean cuisine.
