In November 2020, it was revealed that Kim Kook Heon had been a victim of vote manipulation on 'Produce X 101', which led to his unfair elimination. He opened up about the heavy psychological toll it took on him, admitting: "Once, I opened a car door on the highway, intending to jump. It's a painful memory that really made me want to end my life."

Inspired by the phrase "reset your life," spoken by Baek Jong Won in a commercial, this line reignited his passion, ultimately leading him to decide to join 'Chef Paik & Les Miserables.'
