Korean Netizens Shocked by Disturbing Details of Former NCT Member Taeil's Sexual Assault Case
The complaints filed in June against Taeil describe an assault on an intoxicated woman, also involving two of his acquaintances who are not public figures. The term "aggravated rape" refers to an assault on a person unable to resist, committed either by an armed individual or by multiple people acting together. If Taeil is found guilty, he faces a prison sentence ranging from seven years to life, in accordance with Article 4, Paragraph 1, of the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.
Korean netizens were quick to react, expressing shock and outrage at the details revealed. Comments ranged from disbelief to anger, harshly criticizing Taeil’s actions and the tarnished reputation he brought to NCT. Many are questioning the morality of male idols and the impact such news has on the Korean entertainment industry.
Terms like "aggravated rape" and "disgusting" are frequently mentioned, highlighting the seriousness of the accusation. Some commenters even question loyalty to male idols, suggesting a reevaluation of who deserves their support.
