On December 12, Um Ki Joon 's agency Suntree Entertainment revealed to The Daily Sports, " Um Ki Joon will be having his wedding on December 22 in Seoul with a woman who is not a celebrity."

The ceremony will be held in private, out of respect for the bride's non-public status.

Earlier in May, Um Ki Joon announced his engagement. In a handwritten letter shared on his social media, he expressed, “I never imagined that I would find someone to share my life with. However, I met a kind and deeply caring person, and we have decided to start a new chapter together through marriage.”

He also expressed his gratitude to his fans, saying, "I will never forget the love and support you have always shown me. I will continue to work hard to return that love."

Um Ki Joon debuted his acting career in 1995 with the play 'Richard III'. Since then, he has expanded his acting career with performances in stage productions such as 'The Sorrows of Young Werther', 'Hedwig And The Angry Inch', and 'GwanghawMun Love Song'. He made his television debut in 2006 with the drama special 'Drama City: Who Could Have Loved?'. His notable works include 'Worlds Within', 'Phantom', 'Innocent Defendant', 'Heart Surgeons', the series 'The Penthouse: War in Life', 'Little Women', and 'The Escape of the Seven'.
