En février, DJ Yesong avait un taux d'alcoolémie de 0.221% lorsqu'elle a heurté un motocycliste dans le district de Gangnam à Séoul, entraînant la mort d'un livreur de 50 ans. Il a été révélé qu'elle avait provoqué cet accident alors qu'elle tentait de fuir après avoir été impliquée dans une collision précédente.

At the first trial, she was sentenced to 10 years in prison for leaving the scene without helping the victim and attempting to flee. Both DJ Yesong and the prosecution appealed the decision. During the second trial, her sentence was reduced to 8 years after she admitted her guilt and reached a settlement with the victim's family. Despite another appeal, the Supreme Court dismissed her case, thus upholding the 8-year prison sentence.
