On December 12, Um Ki Joon's agency, Suntree Entertainment, revealed to The Daily Sports: "Um Ki Joon will celebrate his wedding on December 22 in Seoul with a woman who is not a celebrity."

Earlier in May, Um Ki Joon announced his engagement. In a handwritten letter shared on his social media, he wrote: "I never imagined I would find someone to share my life with. However, I met a kind and deeply caring person, and we decided to start a new chapter together through marriage."
