In the cutthroat world of K-Dramas, some titles failed to impress this year. The industry magazine JoyNews24 recently conducted a survey of 200 professionals to select the least popular productions of 2024.

Here is the list of K-Dramas that didn't win everyone over:

Queen Woo

Queen Woo, despite a substantial budget of 30 billion KRW (21.4 million USD) and a promising plot centered on political intrigue during the Goguryeo era, was named the worst drama of the year. The explicit content and historical distortions were widely criticized, as was the controversial use of women’s bodies for aesthetic purposes, which disappointed a large number of viewers.

The Escape of the Seven: Resurrection

Beauty and Mr. Romantic, with 28 votes, came in third. This drama tells the tumultuous story of a famous actress going through a rough patch. Viewers criticized the plot for its absurdity and over-the-top developments, which led to a loss of credibility and interest.

Cette sélection, bien que peu flatteuse, met en lumière les défis auxquels les créateurs de K-Dramas sont confrontés pour satisfaire un public de plus en plus exigeant et diversifié.
