Le prestigieux événement MAMA Awards 2024 a démarré en grande pompe avec le premier chapitre à Los Angeles, Californie, États-Unis, le 21 novembre.

The three-day ceremony kicked off at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Park Bo Gum.

On this day, the groups TWS and ILLIT respectively won the 'Best New Male Artist Award' and 'Best New Female Artist Award', with TWS also taking home the trophy for 'Best Dance Performance (Male Group)'.

RIIZE received the 'Favorite Global Male Performer' award, while singer and producer J.Y. Park was honored with the 'Inspiring Director Award'.

In their heartfelt speech, RIIZE touched fans' hearts, sharing: "Since our debut a year ago, a lot has happened, events that many of you know about. But we are committed to moving forward. We have many discussions with our company in an open environment, and we have reliable support. We are always grateful to our fans throughout these processes, and our greatest wish is for RIIZE and BRIIZE to always protect each other."

Les membres d'ILLIT, quant à eux, n'ont pas pu retenir leurs larmes lors de leur discours de remerciement pour le 'Prix du Nouvel Artiste Féminin'. Représentée par Yunah, le groupe a exprimé : "C'est un honneur de performer aux 'MAMA Awards', une scène dont nous avons rêvé depuis nos jours de stagiaires. Merci aussi pour ce précieux prix. Être ici me fait penser à toutes les heures de pratique pour notre début. Je veux féliciter mes membres et les remercier pour leur dur travail. Je tiens également à remercier tout le personnel de BeLift Lab qui nous a aidés et soutenus."
