A lawsuit has been filed against KBS2 drama 'First Night with the Duke' , starring Seohyun and Taecyeon, for damaging a heritage site.

On January 2, it was reported that filming of the drama had been halted following a complaint filed with Andong City Hall. An architect visiting the site noticed the film crew hammering nails into the exterior of the Byeongsanseowon Confucian Academy in Andong, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2019, and reported the incident. KBS subsequently apologized and pledged to collaborate with the city on restoration efforts at the site.

However, KBS's apology was not enough to quell public outrage, as on January 3, it was revealed that a civilian had filed a complaint against KBS at the Andong Police Station for violating the National Heritage Law, demanding severe punishment.

According to the architect who publicized the incident on social media, the film crew had driven several nails into the exterior of the historic building to install lighting.
