Aespa (Korean: 에스파 (Eseupa); stylized as aespa or æspa) is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment. The group consists of four members: Karina, Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. The group debuted on November 17, 2020 with the single Black Mamba. In 2021, aespa was awarded Best New Artist of the Year at South Korea's five major music awards shows, namely the MelOn Music Awards, MAMA Awards, Golden Disc Awards, Circle Chart Music Awards, and Seoul Music Awards, making them the second K-pop girl group in history to win a Rookie Grand Slam.
