The legal battle between former singer Yulhee and her ex-husband Minhwan over custody of their children is taking a public turn. Yulhee's lawyer Yang So Young released a detailed statement on her YouTube channel to explain the reasons behind the lawsuit.

Yang So Young , Yulhee's legal representative and lead attorney at Soongin Law Firm , said, "Yulhee filed a lawsuit to modify custody and parental rights, as well as seek alimony and property division with her ex-husband, Choi Min Hwan."

The lawyer added: "This step is motivated by Yulhee's deep desire to 'reconnect and raise her children again' and has been taken after careful consideration."

She also stressed that in order to reunite her children as soon as possible, they would also file a request for "appointment of a temporary guardian and child support payments." Yulhee was heavily criticized online for allegedly giving up custody, and her actions were misrepresented in the media, causing significant distress to her and her children.

In response to this, the lawyer announced their intention to pursue legal action against the malicious comments, stating: "If those who posted or commented maliciously promptly delete their content and apologize, we will refrain from taking legal action. However, if such malicious posts or comments persist or are published in the future, we will respond firmly with civil and criminal actions, including claims for damages."
