Yoo In Na Reveals Shocking Romance Scam Experience Involving Her Photos Being Spoofed
Yoo In Na Fraud Scandal
Actress Yoo In Na recently opened up about her disturbing experience with a romance scam. During a broadcast on her YouTube channel, 'Yoo In Radio,' she shared an alarming account of how her photographs were being used fraudulently.
On December 10, an episode titled “[Love In Na] Haven’t We Met Before? Man of the Month Park Jung Min” was released, where Yoo In Na shared how her photos were used in a romance scam.
She says: “When I was in my twenties and working part-time at a cafe, a man came up to me and said, ‘Hye Young, is that you, Hye Young?’ I was terrified. He then took out his phone and showed me pictures of me.”
She explained that someone stole her photos from her social media profiles and used them to create a fake persona. “This woman took all my photos and even created stories to go with them. She didn’t stop there — she used them for a romance scam. She borrowed money from this man, between 100,000 and 200,000 won (about $70 to $140), which was a lot of money at the time.”
Yoo shared that she proved her innocence by showing the man her own social media profile. “When the man threatened to report her, the woman contacted him and returned the money. That’s how the case was resolved. It was a surreal experience.”
Reflecting on the incident, Yoo said, “It wasn’t a good experience, but over time, it became one of those unique episodes in my life.”
The series 'Yoo In Radio' combines Yoo In Na's name with a radio format. Known for its warm communication style and honest storytelling, the show offers viewers a welcoming and engaging experience, with new content released every week.
