Explosive Revelations From Former Employee: Hwayoung Confirms Harassment Accusations Within T-ara, Warns Of Physical Abuse In Entertainment Industry
Scandal at T-ara
A former employee of Core Contents Media, under Kim Kwang Soo's management, released a statement online corroborating allegations of harassment towards Hwayoung within the group T-ara.
On November 10, an anonymous source, referred to only as 'A', posted a message in an online community titled "The Truth About the T-ara Incident." The source stated, "I was employed by Core Contents Media at the time. I would like to briefly comment on the T-ara incident."
'A' explained that Hwayoung's family had connections to a company executive. Initially, Hwayoung's older sister was supposed to join T-ara, but she gave up her spot to Hwayoung. According to 'A', Hwayoung got into one of the hottest groups not because of her skills or looks, but because of her connections, which caused resentment from the other members. 'A' added that Hwayoung also had a hard time fitting in with the group.
The witness went on to say that the original members of the group had very strong personalities, which made it difficult for Ahreum, who joined the group after Hwayoung, to adjust. The allegations of physical and verbal abuse are also true. 'A' recounted seeing Hwayoung crying and, after questioning her, she confided that a staff member had hit her. The employees, although aware, were generally unaware of the situation.
The source added, "Harassment within T-ara is a reality. Even today, many artists experience abuse and harassment in power. I myself was hit with a large stick many times by a manager for some mistakes as a deputy manager."
To support his claims, 'A' shared an image of his Core Contents Media business card from back then.
As previously reported, Kim Kwang Soo recently appeared on MBN’s “GabojaGO,” where he commented on T-ara’s 2012 bullying incident, claiming that the other T-ara members were actually the victims. Following the broadcast, Hwayoung responded to his claims, confirming that the bullying incidents were real and that the T-ara members frequently subjected her to physical and verbal abuse.
