The sad news broke this morning, October 25, that renowned actress Kim Soo Mi has passed away at the age of 75, as reported by several media outlets.

Kim Soo Mi had reduced her TV appearances in May and July of this year following multiple hospitalizations. However, she returned to the screen in September, despite continued concerns from viewers over her fragile health.

Kim Soo Mi's illustrious career began in 1970 as an MBC affiliate talent. She is best known for her roles in productions such as ' Hello, Franceska ' in 2005, ' Band of Sisters ' in 2017, and the popular film series ' Marrying The Mafia ' from 2002 to 2023.

[UPDATE] Kim Soo Mi's son confirmed that his mother died of hyperglycemic shock. The wake will be held at Hanyang University Hospital.
