Kim Gu Ra recently shared the reason why he was unable to attend Jo Se Ho's wedding. On November 6, in a video posted on the YouTube channel he runs with his son, Kim Gu Ra took a moment to address the public's curiosity about his absence from the October 20 event.

Kim Gu Ra explained, “A lot of people are wondering why I wasn’t there. Jo Se Ho only told us the wedding date a month or two in advance. But I had already scheduled a health checkup around the same time, also scheduled a month or two earlier.”

“The wedding was on a Sunday, and my exam was the following Monday. Starting at 5pm, I had to take medication that, to be frank, required frequent trips to the bathroom. I realised that this was simply not going to be possible.”

He continued: "If I took the medicine at the wedding venue, I would have to run to the toilet immediately. So, rather than coming and having to apologize constantly, I preferred to send an envelope with a cash gift via my manager."

Kim Gu Ra added, “I also sent a message to Jo Se Ho saying, ‘Sorry, I have a colonoscopy scheduled as part of my checkup.’” Then, in a humorous tone, he added, “Some might say, ‘You should have rescheduled for Jo Se Ho’s wedding,’ but honestly, is Jo Se Ho that important to me? Not really.”

He ended on a positive note by saying, “Se Ho, congratulations on your marriage.”
