Famous actress Kim Soo Mi , shortly before her death, was working on a book where she shared her thoughts on life, including advice for her family and fellow actors.

In an interview with Yonhap News on October 26, Kim Soo Mi's son Jung Myung Ho , currently a manager at Nappak F&B , and daughter-in-law, actress Seo Hyo Rim , revealed that Kim is writing a book titled ' Farewell ' before he passes away.

Jung Myung Ho described how his mother, while remaining deeply dedicated to her work, also seemed to bring order to her life. “My mother loved to write, and when I visited her home, I would often find many handwritten manuscripts. She had already chosen the title ‘Farewell.’ She also mentioned her desire to volunteer in the kitchen after she retired,” he shared.

Kim Soo Mi, who is always encouraging to young actors, also left some advice for those who are still finding their way in the industry. Jung Myung Ho shared his final message, “Even though times are tough right now and you’re going through a difficult time, this industry eventually rewards those who persevere. Never give up halfway through.”

Seo Hyo Rim remembers Kim Soo Mi as a kind-hearted person, despite her “tough guy” image.

She says, "Kim Soo Mi was thrilled to get a new lease on life in her career with ' Soo Mi's Dishes ,' after being identified as Mother Ilyong in ' Rural Diary .' She often said, 'I've always been called the 'sweary grandmother,' but these days, people call me 'teacher.' You have no idea what that means to me.'"

Reflecting on his mother’s passing, Jung Myung Ho expressed, “We hope that you will remember Kim Soo Mi, who was always close to her audiences through her love and passion for acting. My family and I will never forget the support and love you have shown us over the years and will live on with grateful hearts. We extend our sincere thanks to those who join us in mourning her passing.”
