Former Crayon Pop member ChoA, who recently announced that she was diagnosed with cervical cancer, has shared news of her recovery with her fans. In a recent Instagram post, ChoA wrote, “I’m out of the hospital. The surgery went well and I feel great, so my doctor told me I could go home.” She added, “I was worried after reading other people’s post-surgery stories, but thankfully everything went well. I’m still walking slowly due to gas pains, but I’m going to focus on recovering well at home. Thank you for your support.”
Along with the post, ChoA shared several photos from her hospital stay. In one of the images, her husband can be seen by her side, working from the hospital room. Reflecting on the time, ChoA expressed her gratitude, “My husband is working here because of me. I feel so sorry and grateful. Let’s not come back here again.” In response, fans left comments such as, “Let’s focus on your health from now on,” “I wish you a full recovery,” “You’re going to be so happy,” and “Don’t get sick again.”
On October 14, ChoA shared her diagnosis on Instagram, revealing, "I was diagnosed with cancer at 33. I found out I had cervical cancer during a prenatal exam last May. I have another surgery coming up to preserve my fertility," garnering widespread support from fans. ChoA debuted in 2012 with girl group Crayon Pop, known for hits such as "Bar Bar Bar" and "Uh-ee." In June 2021, she married a businessman six years her senior and is currently preparing to have a child.
