The turbulent history of NCTs

When they debuted in 2016 , the group only consisted of 15 members (Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, Ten, Jaehyun, Mark, Winwin, Yuta, Haechan, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, Jisung) and 3 sub-members. units ( NCT U , NCT 127 , NCT DREAM ).

Following this, Johnny joined them in 2017.

In 2018, five new members were added (Lucas, Kun, Jungwoo, Xiaojun, Hendery, Yangyang) and a Chinese sub-unit was born. It is WayV which was created under the Label V label (a Chinese label which collaborates with the SM). The same year, Mark quit NCT DREAM due to his age.

In 2020, the SM created a group with the "top" male artists of its agency, including Taeyong, Ten, Lucas and Mark who are part of it. Mark returns to NCT DREAM on the occasion of the release of the album Reload. In September, after the NCT 2020 project ended, two new members debuted, Shotaro and Sungchan.
