L'entrepreneure et transfuge nord-coréenne, Lee Soon Sil, a partagé sa crainte de l'électrothérapie, une méthode de physiothérapie utilisant la stimulation électrique.

A regular on the variety show ‘Boss in the Mirror’, Lee Soon Sil went to the hospital for treatment after a car accident in August this year. When the doctor recommended electrotherapy, she refused out of fear, recalling the torture she endured after being captured while trying to escape from North Korea to South Korea.

She recounted being stripped, beaten with sickles, and tortured with electric shocks, which caused her current trauma regarding electrotherapy, eliciting shock and empathy from the other participants on the show.

After several unsuccessful attempts to escape North Korea, Lee Soon Sil finally managed to settle in South Korea in 2007, where she now runs a restaurant specializing in North Korean cuisine.
