Kim Kwang Soo Speaks Out About Kim Jong Kook's Assault Rumor on GabojaGO
The Truth About the Kim Jong Kook Affair
In a recent episode of MBN variety show ' GabojaGO ,' popular entertainment producer Kim Kwang Soo , founder of MBK Entertainment , addressed persistent rumors accusing him of assaulting singer and TV personality Kim Jong Kook , formerly a member of the boy band Turbo .
Kwang Soo, known for his work with many K-pop groups such as T-ara and SG Wannabe , has long been surrounded by controversy. The show's hosts, Ahn Jung Hwan and Hong Hyun Hee , approached the topic of the alleged assault cautiously, reluctant to offend their guest. Nevertheless, Kwang Soo encouraged them to be direct, expressing his desire to clarify the situation.
Hong Hyun Hee bluntly asked if he had physically assaulted Kim Jong Kook, surprised by the idea given his gentle appearance. Ahn Jung Hwan shared her doubts in a humorous manner, pointing out Kim Jong Kook's impressive stature.
Kwang Soo clarified that the incident in question occurred while Turbo was under the management of another company. He explained that Turbo had joined his agency through a merger, which led to the false impression that he was involved in the assault. “ It was something that happened between Turbo and the CEO of their previous company, ” Kwang Soo clarified. “ But because they were under my agency at the time, it seemed like I was the one who assaulted them. ”
Kim shared a humorous anecdote about a later encounter with Kim Jong Kook, where he joked, " Because of you, I became known as the guy who assaulted you. " Kim Jong Kook reportedly responded apologetically, acknowledging the unintentional misunderstanding.
